2011 season

Excellent fishing from boats continued through most of November due to a mild winter so far. 20/11/2011- Visiting angler bagged 6 fish all being over 2lbs and heaviest just over 5lbs on fly from the boat. Locals Twm Williams and Bryn Williams having a memorable Sunday (23/10/11) They hooked numerous good sized Rainbows all over 2lbs and a 7lb Brown Trout was netted and released on the same outing, the Brown came to one of Twm's Coral booby.
Sunday saw one of the club rearranged comps. 11 anglers attended with 47 fish caught with a total weight of just over 86lbs. Over half had bag limits early on which then resulted in time bonuses. Young angler Eifion Roberts had his 6 fish by 11.20 but with Mitch Atherton's heavier fish by 12.30 it pushed Eifion to 2nd place with Sonny Owen in 3rd.
All leading catches were using fast glass intermediate lines with Various booby's taking the majority of fish with a sunburst blob also taking many. Many fish were caught on the Pins, Gregory Rock and out of Cae Adda. Sonny Owen was out the next day and bagged a 5lb Rainbow near Gregory Rock.
Fish taking Cat's whisker, sedges, buzzers, crunchers and dabblers near the surface. The washing line fished with a booby and two diawls proving effective.
